Faux Bone
Picked this up on a beach on the sunrise side of Michigan. It was one of the first beaches we visited and I thought it might be some sort of coral because of the covering. Then, I was sure it was a dinosaur bone, it even has a crack running down the back and if you look closely on the left side, you can see what look like gnaw marks. But I hit the end with a rock grinder, and, alas, it did not "bleed" red like dino bone and I saw no evidence of structure. So probably a rock that was covered with some sort of marine life at one time. But the shape....
